Could it be the Reverse Control Valve stuck on my John Deere 310A Backhoe?

I have a John Deere 310 BackHoe and it goes in reverse fine no slipping, but in forward it doesn’nt to move forward but its not slipping just not acting like it should. Do you have any ideas or know where I can find better information on this backhoe?
I’m not sure what the hydrolic levels should be. It is my unclesBackhoe and I am just the middle man between him and moving forward in it. I need to know the book levels of the hydrolic system.

is your hydraulic level up to where it should be? hydrulic filters clean? if the answers are yes, then make sure the direction lever is actually engaging in the forward position. if it is then my suggestion is to call in a Repair Tech to get the valving looked at
