BMW Shut Off in Traffic in Los Angeles, California

BMW or Bavarian Motor Works is a German car, vehicle and engine machine maker founded on 1916. It is also the owner and producer of the mini brand of Rolls – Royce Motor Cars. BMW is known for its performance and luxury vehicles, and is a worldwide leader in premium car sales.

Atty. Kemnitzer Barron and Krieg Attorneys are in charge on cases for clients with BMW that have shut off in traffic. Investigation reveals that the following model BMWs may be subject to the defect that has caused the client’s car to shut off: BMW 135i, 335i, 335xi, 535i, 535xi, X5 sdrive35i, X6 sdrive35i and Z4 sdrive35i. It seems to include all models with BMW’s 300hp twin turbo engine. The fuel pumps in the cars suffering from this defect cannot be able to pressurize the fuel dependably at the pressure needed for the twin turbos. When the pump fails, the engine does not get the amount of fuel needed and the car shuts off. It’s either the affected car will take time to start and run roughly or worst is the car will shut off immediately.

According to reports, these BMWs shutting off suddenly occurs at high speeds, even at 70 mph on a Los Angeles freeway. Once a car loses all power it will then lose power steering and hydraulic brake assist. This can cause the car to become hard to stop and maneuver. Stalls have been reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NTSA) as resulting from the fuel in these BMWs. In its own report of BMW in to the NTSA, they noted that it was aware of the problem way back 2008. Even though BMW is very much aware of the problem in shutting off due to the fuel pump failure and that the steering and braking of the affected car would be compromised for several years ago, it has only now issued a recall on all the affected cars.

If you own any of these cars, take some time to check for the early indications of a possible failure. Notice if the car takes an extra time to start, check if the engine light goes on, or if the car is running smoothly. If something unusual occurs, come immediately to your warranty repair center. If this problem has been worked extensively and repeatedly occurred, you may have a claim to have your car reacquire BMW under
California Lemon Law

Shut It Down $8.47 Animosity’s first full-length is surprisingly mature, considering that some members were only 15 when recording the album. The group hadn’t yet grown into the technical death metal behemoth it would become, but its identity was already evident. Shut It Down mixes atonal death metal with hardcore punk breakdowns and a strong thrash influence, the latter perhaps a product of the band’s Bay Area origins. The production is crisp and clear, but a bit light. Thus, the speedier passages are more effective than the breakdowns, which tend to drag. Songwriting isn’t a big priority, but riffs are, as the guitarists peel off pick squeals and Suffocation-esque machine gun breaks with ease. The drumming is speedy and occasionally colorful. Leo Miller’s death growl hadn’t fully developed at this point, so here he sticks mostly to mid-range screams. Shut Up I Am Dreaming $11.98 Wolf Parade’s Spencer Krug peppers his songs with the same British affectations that fuel fellow Canadian Dan Bejar’s skewed indie pop, but where Destroyer flirts dangerously with pre-Berlin-era David Bowie, Krug’s formidable side project Sunset Rubdown seems intent on channeling early Gary Numan. Shut Up I Am Dreaming is pure bedroom art-pop with a thin Britpop glaze that is as poignant and self-effacing as it is self-conscious and pretentious. Krug starts things off with a bang on “Stadiums and Shrines II,” an explosive piece of self-propaganda that utilizes Wolf Parade’s manic energy, Arcade Fire’s willful introspection, and Frog Eyes’ vocal shudder — Krug has moonlighted as a Frog Eye in the past — with the kind of apocalyptic results that are usually reserved for album end pieces. It’s a bold move, but it helps the listener figure out whether or not the road is worth taking in the first five minutes of the record, as what follows both expounds and splinters off from it. Utilizing an arsenal of keyboards, xylophones, treated guitars, and compressed drums, Krug can take a line like “If I ever hurt you it will be in self-defense,” from the fractured and haunting “The Empty Threats of Little Lord,” and make it sound both meek and imposing, showing a real knack for the kind of literate imagery so effortlessly flung by the aforementioned Bejar. Some of Dreaming’s tracks meander too far and too long, illuminating the downside of home recording (no editor), but there’s a melodious after-burn at work here that’s missing from Krug’s work with the more accessible Wolf Parade, and one that’s not likely to flame out over the span of future recordings. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
